Introduction &
Partnership
Cult Beauty have been champions of real skin and real people long before it was
the zeitgeist of our industry. In 2023 we took action to step away from industry norms that perpetuate
unrealistic beauty standards and prey on the insecurities that it itself creates.
This was cemented
by launching our long-term commitments to showcase real skin and label all non-retouched in-house imagery
through our Can't (re)Touch This campaign in collaboration with Mental Health UK and Dr. Luke Evans MP. The
accompanying petition to make image transparency a priority collected over 27,000 signatures.
In 2024
Cult Beauty will continue to build on this commitment by actively investing in and supporting how young
people form their body image and beauty views in an ever changing and digital world.
Reaching
students via The Respect Project which perfectly aligns to this vision. Our joint mission is to support
young people to cultivate a constructive relationship with beauty and body image in a transformed world.
Mission
The Respect Project's (TRP) central purpose is to empower the next generation to face the future with confidence:
We imagine a world where young people engage and learn about the world,
shaping who they want to be on their own terms and under the guidance and influence of the people,
institutions and businesses who have their wellbeing at heart.
To provide education and information
that helps to combat misinformation and gives young people the tools to engage confidently in a rapidly
changing world.
To be an ethical telegraph for businesses by facilitating insight and partnering to
shape businesses activities of the future with care and understanding.
